Online Banking Security

Never give out your online banking user name and password to anyone. Your account number and online banking credentials should always be kept private and secure to avoid becoming a victim of fraud. If you believe that you may have given out information that you should not have disclosed contact your Bank right away. We recommend changing your password periodically for your own security.

Introducing SecureNow: Enhanced Security for Your Online and Mobile Banking

We’re excited to announce the launch of SecureNow, a state-of-the-art security feature designed to elevate the protection of your online banking and mobile accounts. SecureNow adds an extra layer of defense through multi-factor authentication (MFA). In addition to your usual username and password, you’ll now be prompted to enter a six-digit code sent to your mobile device via text message or voice call. This advanced security measure replaces the Challenge Question process, ensuring a more secure login experience.

Simple Set-Up Process

Enroll in SecureNow with these easy steps:
1. Log in to your Union State Bank account through Online Banking or our Mobile Banking App.
2. Answer your account security question.
3. Add your phone number where you want your security code sent. You’ll receive a text message confirming your enrollment.
4. Re-login to your Union State Bank account.
5. Select your preferred delivery method (text message or phone call) for receiving the security code.
6. Enter the passcode sent to your device to verify your phone number.

Every new device, such as a computer, tablet, or phone, will go through the confirmation code process at account sign-in. After the initial device registration, identity verification will only be prompted for unusual sign-in behavior or when a new device is used.

Bill Pay

Bill Pay offers the ability to pay bills online quickly and securely straight from your accounts.

Receive your statements faster and secure with eStatements.

  • eStatements allows you 24/7 secure access to your statements. No risk of losing your statement in the mail or stolen from your mailbox.
  • Easy access to your last 18 month of account statements. Along with the ability to print or download to your computer.
  • You’ll receive an email reminder when your statement is ready.

External Transfers

TransferNow offers secure inter-institution funds transfer services. With TransferNow, you can transfer money to or from another financial institution. You must be an owner on both accounts.

TransferNow Details:

External Accounts

You can only have a maximum of 5 external active accounts at a time. They can be removed and replaced at any time. External accounts must allow debits & credits.


You can setup one-time transfers and recurring transfers. Transfers cannot be made to unverified, suspended or deleted accounts.

Transaction Cycles:

Standard transfers will typically take 3 business days to post to your account.

  • Daily - $5000 Standard
  • Daily Next Day $2000 Standard
  • $10 minimum transfer

Please see our online banking agreement for more regarding daily limits. Must be an active user for 90 days prior to approval of next-day transfers.

Getting Started:

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Click on External Transfer, which is under Transfers
  3. You will follow the prompts when setting up your external accounts;
    • you will need to know the routing number along with the account number for your external account.
    • All new external accounts added need to be verified which may be Real Time Verification (instant) or Trial Deposit Verification (1-2 business days). Most of the local banks will be trial deposit verification.
